Review of Dante's Peak (1997) by Scott S — 17 Jun 2008
I've liked this movie since I watched it as a kid. It's good to see Pierce Brosnan in a hero role where he's not a secret agent and I thought that he played his part really well. The lovely Linda Hamilton was good in this film as the town's mayor, a normal role, which is a far cry from her most famous role as Sarah Connor.
The progression of the skepticism that there is activity in the volcano to the actual eruption is good and the love story between the two main characters is reasonable. The other characters were good as well, adding to the good things that make this film what it is: a really good movie.
