Review of Dante's Peak (1997) by Kieran F — 06 Feb 2012
Brosnan and Linda do great in their performances and help keep this..some what boring(but more accurate)disaster film entertaining. I agree with a lot of people that this film got more back lash then it deserved.
BUT at the same time it does diverse some(just not as much as the critiques gave)for example I thought the kids weren't that well cast..they where okay but they felt more..like ..to young or something for their rolls.
BUT pierce and Linda helped me over look them alot. I also thought the film had ALITTLE to much..hurry up and stop. it would get going then slow down. get going slow down. not exactly what I was expecting for this type of film.
Having said that it didn't ruin the film as a whole cause the slowed down parts where entertaining just where..a little to sudden sometimes. As a whole though for disaster flicks it's a pretty decent one and people should watch it if they like those films if not at least watch it to see the great performances of Linda and Peirce.
