Review of Danny Collins (2015) by Patrick K — 02 Oct 2015
In recent years Al Pacino's stuff havent been on a level or anywhere near his old work but here we have possibly his best role since "Devils Advocate" or "The Recruit". He plays an aging rock star Danny Collins who's career is dying slowly singing the same songs for 40 years and hasnt written a note in that time until his manager and best friend Frank (Christopher Plummer) showed him a letter written to him by John Lennon in 1971 which changed the course of his future by trying to recreate himself, his music and connect with his family.
Pacino was brilliant but the whole film was written well in generl which gave him the platform to perform like only he can.
