Review of Dangerous Minds (1995) by Chad B — 23 Jun 2009

I felt inspired in 1995 when I watched this movie for the first time. Unfortunately, my sense of inspiration quickly dwindled when watching it 14 years years later. I believe it would take a LOT more to motivate inner city students now than the petty bribery and pep talks this teacher engaged in during the 1990s.

Nonetheless, we must take the era into consideration when watching this movie. For a modern version of such a story, I strongly recommend 'Freedom Writers' which is also based on a true story.
