Review of Dangerous Liaisons (1988) by Scott M — 28 Feb 2008
I'll give the movie credit for being the basis for "Cruel Intentions," which I had already seen, but Glenn Close is too old and just not the right person to play what basically boils down to a seductress.
John Malkovich is excellent, but it was hard to get into a movie when the modern telling which I've already seen follows the exact same story. Keanu Reeves is awful, but he always was back then. Definitely not what I expected.
