Saucy and corrupt. Those are two reasons why I come back to this film now and again. Not to mention the sharp dialog and stellar performances by this ensemble cast circa 1988. If you ever wondered what rich French people did for fun before there were TVs, telephones, cars, or even electricity for god sakes, watch this and you'll find out.
And you'll realize that things haven't changed much... er, except for the clothes and technology.
