Review of Danger: Diabolik (1968) by Attie A — 06 Jun 2007
I love this movie. It has a fantastic soundtrack, and the effects for this movie was rather modern for it's time. As well, if you're into those super spy 60s flicks, this is definatly worth a look.
There's a twist though, instead of a spy working for the good guys you have a theif who is willing to do just about anything for his girl Eva. Most people didn't understand why exactly the hero of this movie is a thief and the villians were the cops (who in turn were made rather incompetent).
The original story (an italian comic book), italy was very wary of their government and public figures, especailly after losing WWII that the citizens became resentful and bitter. Hence the reasoning for that.
I can say that I was rather happy to see this movie was released on DVD.
