My ALL-TIME FAVOURITE Midnight Movie...i LOVE it so much i'm still considering getting a Diabolik tattoo....The ultimate in sexy, hyper-stylised, enigmatic, melodramatic, aesthetically innovative '60s Cinema.
Diabolik taps stright into our fantasies of being a hedonistic, depraved, infamous criminal (well, that's me anyway)...I love the fact that many people can't tap into this film too...you must surrender to it, let it consume you, go with it.
The Morricone soundtrack, the art design, the colours, the in-camera matte-painted genius.....buy it, and watch it late at night when your subconscious is most receptive to its glory.......
