Review of Danger: Diabolik (1968) by Karen K — 28 Sep 2007
Someday I'll meet someone else who realises what a work of genius this movie is. That's probably the person I'll marry.
He's Diabolik. He's a master criminal with a poorly disguised secret underground lair, a girlfriend with interesting fashion taste, and color co-ordinated secret criminal costumes. Oh, and a giant rotating bed covered in money, and some great theme music.
Watch it for: the sheer ridiculousness of the plot (this giant mirror should fool them!), the amazing costumes and sets, and the colors. Mario Bava was a true genius.
