Review of Dane Cook: Vicious Circle (2006) by Nathan K — 16 Jun 2008

Unfunny, boring, irritating, highly overrated, overacted, forced and fabricated pile of shit.

I feel bad for the audience. Imagine having to sit there for two fucking hours. Seriously if I were there, I'd have walked out after ten minutes or so before it drove me nuts. The only reason why the audience seemed to enjoy it was probably coz this was filmed in Dan's hometown so he's most likely to have an audience filled with fanboys/girls rather than anything else.

Never liked him even as an actor (no surprise there considering all the shitty films he appear in) but decided to watch this anyway coz it's got a lot of positive reviews on the net. Even then I was sceptical and I guess my instincts were absolutely right.

Recently I've been watching quite a lot of standup comedy and this is pretty much the worst I've come across. He sounded more like a fucking counsellor than a comedian and he acts like a total fag which is rather annoying to watch. I mean he's really energetic and hip and all but you gotta calm the fuck down once in a while right?. And that's not like even the worst part of it all. The worst part to me is the fact that much of it sounded like blatant fucking lies. Totally made up and unrealistic scenarios and all. Might convince the kids but I can't really imagine a grown up man or woman actually finding this clever or funny. If you make shit up, atleast try to make it sound a little bit genuine and believeable. Either that or he needs real work on his sarcasm skills or whatever you wanna call it.

The only part I found even slightly funny was like the last ten to fifteen minutes or so (out of two hours!) and that's pretty much why I'm even gonna give it a 1/5. A total waste of time. Don't bother unless you're a real big fan of him.
