Review of Dancing to New Orleans (2003) by Bruno L — 09 Apr 2011
Gospel, blues, funk, country, cajun, zydeco, French street music, and somethings that are unique to Louisiana. For those not familiar with music history, it is a great introduction to many types of music, and how much of our modern music grew from Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta.
For those who know some of this history, this documentary provides a richness through the words of some wonderful performers. There is a touch of sadness. This was filmed pre-Katrina.
