Review of Dancing Lady (1933) by K D — 14 Jun 2008
I just love the feeling I get whenever I am sitting back and watching a good old black and white film with Clark Gable in it, it never ceases to disappoint. This was a great film as well, with Gable teaming with the beautiful and mesmerizing Joan Crawford, who really played her part perfectly, convincing us all that she really was a dancer at heart.
Franchot Tone also delivered a fine performance, and really played the part of a rich playboy to the point. And after seeing a few Crawford/Gable movies where they never kissed, it was perfect to finally see the tension relieved as they kissed in the end.
Great picture, nice time piece.
