Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Earl H — 18 Dec 2010
"Dunbar, not Dumb Bear.".
A Union soldier in the American Civil war is elevated to hero status, and chooses to be stationed on the frontier before it is no more. What he finds there changes his life........
Dances with Wolves is my kind of film, sweeping vistas, humanism, great art direction, and a light dose of comedy to go along with the drama. Though it lacks any significant cinematic vision, the film is a grand adventure that I could view hundred of times before I grow tired of it.
If you like westerns, period pieces, or dramas in general, you should view this film.
