Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Matthew R — 10 Oct 2012
This film is quit good as a Western epic, though it has to be said that apart from the two protagonists who live with the Sioux, the Americans in the film are largely one-dimensional. The Sioux themselves are quite one-dimensional also, all seem to be playing stock characters (angry Indian, old Indian, questioning Indian) without really having any depth or development.
Some amazing panoramic scenes, but on the whole rather average.
