Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Josh R — 12 Feb 2010

After seeing this, I can definitely see influences present in Avatar recently. Excellent movie that delves into the native culture beyond the one-sided "cowboys & indians" westerns of old.

The character development was excellent both in the variety and the sheer number of major characters. I can't put everything I want to put here, but between the amazing visuals, characters, story, and the "what if" theme of this movie, I definitely recommend it to anyone with enough time.
