Kevin Costner stars in and directs this near masterpiece. This a long, emotional, beautiful epic anchored by an incredible performance by Costner. The film won seven Academy Awards including Best Picture.
It took Costner over 5 years to make the film and the results reflect the time and effort put into it. The movie features gorgeous cinematography and a brilliant score. This is filmmaking at it's best.
If you haven't seen "Dances With Wolves" make a point to. It shouldn't be missed.
