Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Nelson P — 26 Oct 2010
"Dances With Wolves" is the reason why I believe film making is the greatest form of art and expression. I don't think any movie or any form of art really, has ever reached me on so many different levels of emotion.
It's almost imposable to not be changed in some way by this movie, I personally felt a deep connection to the story, setting, and characters in such a way, I watched this differently than anything I've ever seen before.
At its core its a story about one mans journey of self identity that slowly becomes a man discovering life itself, but on a deeper level it thoroughly examines human nature's core meaning: Love. What I felt during" Dances With Wolves" will never be replaced or equaled by any other movie, the experience itself can never truly be explained.
