My all time favorite western movie &'definitely in my all time 5. Amazing.

Wonderful. Inspiring. The directing can't be better, the acting is the best! Gosh so good! I know sometimes I overrate things, but for people to say Goodfellas deserved Beat Picture over this is ridiculous. It may have been a little long, but so was Goodfellas. Goodfellas brought nothing extrodinary to the table except show what most gangsters were NOT. If you want an actual portrayal of Italian mobs, watch The Godfather. Dances with Wolves at least gave a fresh outlook on native Americans and isnt a theme that is entirely over done. The music was great, it was funny, sad, moving. Kevin Costner was believable and the imagery was gripping. Such goodfellas was a good decent movie, but this upped it in all ways.
