Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Kyle M — 13 Jan 2015
Despite going for the cruel violence without thinking a better way to avoid them when they'd brought the film's level down during the second-half, Costner's roles as director and the star are one when telling a nice, epic story with a faithful spirit to the culture. The total result was that this winner's style is a great revitalization of the western genre with a format that was usually followed by these kind of Best Picture winners in respective genres apart from the golden age of Hollywood. (B+).
