Dances with the Wolves is the first Kevin Costner starer that I have seen. As it is said by many, the cinematography of this film is good, so is the background music. This is a less action packed epic. It tells the story of a man who comes to the frontier on a military mission. Although the first half of the film is good, I am a bit disappointed that it did not have an epic finale, one you might expect from a film of this nature. As much as I am a fan of epic films, I like the epic battles too, if not more. This film has good performances from the entire cast, but it should have been at least half an hour shorter.
