Review of Dancer in the Dark (2000) by Jimmy M — 03 Aug 2009
Lars von Trier never makes an easy, traditional film- "Dancer in the Dark" continues his foray into his Dogma film making style. This time incorporating musical numbers into it's heavy plot about a single mother who works at a factory and is slowly going blind.
Unsettling and with an ending that will leave you with knots in your stomach. Iconic singer Bjork is outstanding in the lead role.
