Review of Dancer in the Dark (2000) by Mustafa M — 09 Aug 2010
It is a good movie, which is often difficult to watch, but is riveted by so many good performances that its weak spots and its uncomfortable spots are forgiven. Bjork's performance is bizarrely wonderful, the strong willed woman with the face and voice of a 15 year old but the willpower and devotion of a grandmother.
Serious stuff from Lars Von Trier.
