Review of Dancer (2016) by Bob L — 16 Sep 2016
Entertaining and moving documentary of an amazing dancer, Sergei Polunin, his family, teachers, and friends. The director is able to weave childhood video with professional cinematography which take us from baby steps at home to giant leaps across world stages.
This is the first dance film we've encountered that shows the family sacrifices and the dancer's physical and emotional costs in the journey to become one of the best.
