Review of Dance of the Dead (2008) by Nicky M — 03 Nov 2008
Over the top, silly horror/comedy that gives decent gore and a few laughs along the way. The 1st 3rd of the movie starts a bit slow establishing which characters belong where in the "breakfast club" heirarchy of high school movies.
Easy to tell who the "hero" will be and what will happen but that doesn't detract from the enjoyability of the flick. Pure popcorn B-movie homage to Dead Alive, Return of the Living Dead type humor meets a John Hughes film but not quite as successful.
A few moments still got a few chuckles. The last half hour of the movie went a bit too much me but overall, not a bad way to pass the time if you are a fan of horror comedies and zombies.
