Review of Dance Flick (2009) by Ruhan R — 09 Jan 2010

This movie gets alot of bad rap for being messy and low-brow, but let's face it the Wayans Brothers were just having fun. There were several continuity issues and sometimes it was just too outrageous to be funny, but I did get many laughs from it.

All the bits with Keenen Ivory Wayans were hilarious ("I'm here to pick up my son!"). Casting and acting were solid enough. All the lighting was done nicely as well. The main goal of the movie was obviously spoofing all of those lame dance movies, and it did that quite well.

This movie didn't take itself seriously, so it's foolish to write a serious review on it.
