Review of Dan in Real Life (2007) by Calvin D — 05 Feb 2010

Although the plot seems interesting though relatively simplistic, this story is flawed and could be much better. The directing is mediocre, and it also stars Dane Cook. However, the real saving grace is the fact that Steve Carrell is downright flawless.

However he's playing a character that has so much crap thrown at him, that I don't think the screenwriters really knew how to sort it out in the end. I was disappointed.
