Review of Dan in Real Life (2007) by Jiana W — 31 Jan 2011

"Adorable" is a great word to describe this. It's not a high-profile movie in terms of the attention it seemed to have gotten (which doesn't seem to be a whole lot), but it's such a wonderful movie.

So cute, sweet, and touching, and all the actors did a great job. It also has its very funny moments and Steve Carell is very charming as Dan. I kind of wanted Emily Blunt to have a bigger role here, but I guess it worked out alright in the end.

But it's always weird hearing actors whom you know are British speak in American accents for a role. Overall, I highly recommend this. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's not sappy or gooey or cheesy at all.
