Review of Dan in Real Life (2007) by Sergio E — 04 Dec 2009
I absolutely adore this movie! I think it is because I was so refreshed that Steve Carell could play a normal person. There is nothing slapstick or comedian-ish about his performance in the movie. The comedy in this movie can be very overt, but I think the best things are the small things.
Watch Steve Carell's face expressions and reactions throughout the movie. Or how Carell "stretch" his hand while Cook and Binoche do this awesome full-body stretching sequence. HILARIOUS! The storyline with his love-crazy daughter is hilarious although you want to kick her ass by the end of the movie.
I totally recommend this movie, if only for Carell's performance.
