Review of Dan in Real Life (2007) by Isabelle P — 23 Aug 2010
Heartwarming, though layed on a little thick at times. Carell is perfect, lovably flawed, cringingly awkward, and pretty much stumbled upon pure improvisational genius with his comparison between corn and angels.
As much as I otherwise revere Juliette Binoche, here her character fails to justify Dan's infatuation, whereas Emily Blunt fearlessly steals the show in the few minutes she appears on screen.
