Juliette Binoche with this film proved to me that she is not simply a brilliant chocolatier, but also a wonderful actress; this was evident from her performace alongside Johnny Depp, but her acting in this made her one of my favorites.
Additionally, the colors throughout the film were spectacularly enjoyable. Constrast between the outdoorsy yellows and nighttime darks were striking.
