Review of Damsels in Distress (2012) by Vera W — 06 Apr 2012
Whit Stillman brings us the child of "Heathers" and "Animal House" in what is one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time. There are scenes and dialogue that wouldn't be out of place in "Gavin and Stacey" if "Gavin and Stacey" was set in a pretentious New England liberal arts college, and Megalyn Echikunwoke steals every scene she speaks in with the best British accent by an American actress since Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones.
