Review of Damien - Omen II (1978) by Jed F — 01 Nov 2007
After Robert Thorn was killed only a select few people left alive knew the true identity of Damien Thorn and that ends quickly in this film. Damien is sent to live with his uncle Richard Thorn played by then Hollywood veteran actor William Holden. His presence makes the film a bit more watchable although his character was limited unlike Gregory Peck's from the first film.
Damien learns about who he really is through minions Satan has placed on earth to nurture Damien to power. A young Lance Henriksen plays his Cadet squad leader.
This is a worthy sequel to the first film because it continues an interesting story: the rise to power of the Anti-Christ so regardless of its artistic quality the story is worth following.
