Review of Damien - Omen II (1978) by Patrick S — 19 Nov 2007
This is fairly average horror. There are some creepy moments and the music is seriously disturbing. The best bits (worryingly) are waiting to discover the more imaginative ways people are going to die in.
But therein is the films problem; it doesn't make you care for any of the characters. It's just a matter of waiting for the next fright. And the ending fails on the same grounds; lack of characterisation makes it an empty climax.
