Review of Damien - Omen II (1978) by Rcavey92212 — 10 Apr 2020
Although not the success that the original was. This sequel is actually better in some ways. This time around it centers around an older Damien in a military school. After being adopted following the events of the first film.
He's attending with his cousin and you begin to get a sense of what horrors he's capable of. The story works from a more psychological standpoint and even shows him struggling with the things he has to do.
But don't worry the insane death sequences. The one involving crows is particularly effective and disturbing. Although a solid sequel the original is still superior in its sheer effectiveness, that being said this is an entertaining and creepy venture that manages to avoid the trappings of sequilitius and stands quite well on its own.
