I love this film!Twisted and perverse in a very emotionally sensitive sort of way.I always respect the work of Jeremy Irons, but his character here is a bit of a punk with no direction-a respected politician in need of some serious guidance.
The work of Juliette Binoche has mostly bored me in the past-although she's a talented actress.Who else could portray such a deeply disturbed woman while keeping such an adequately blank expression on her face, even during intense sex scenes?!Her character here has some of the greatest monologues.
