This is gonna be short. While the movie wasn't amazing, the story and performances were. Obviously, we've all heard about Matthew McConaughey, and what he went through to play this role. (Sidenote, I still believe Dicaprio acted better.

Honestly). He was phenomenal, and I expected to him be. However, I personally thought that Jared Leto actually out-acted McConaughey in their scenes together, and Leto was just flawless. The movie itself was great and promoted a message that we haven't seen much about in mainstream Hollywood, so it was nice to see this garner so many awards and recognition.

I'd definitely advise giving it a viewing.
