Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by Bjorn B — 15 May 2014
A excellent film with two terrific standout performances that both took home the golden statues at the 86th Academy Awards. The film is lifted by the performances but Dallas Buyers Club has something more; a powerfully moving story that is supported by an exceptionally well-written script and fantastic direction.
The direction has a very hand held feel to it with adds to the authenticity of the film. An excellent and very important film which is weirdly very easy to like. B+.
