Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by Crystal E — 30 May 2014

I wanted to like it more than I did. I almost think I should 3 star it but I feel obligated to 4 star it. Maybe I just want in the mood for this sort of a film. In a documentary sort of way I liked it and found it enjoyable but as a movie for enjoyment I could have gone on with life without having seen it.

I thought the acting was good but I was bowled over by it. There weren't grand emotional scenes or parts that moved me. It was just okay. So I give it 3 stars as a movie but 4 as an informative drama.
