Provocative, sincere and heartbreaking, Dallas Buyers Club tells retells the true events of HIV-positive Ron Woodroof and his efforts in providing treatment for others afflicted by the devasting disease.
The real star of the picture is McConaughey who is completely unrecognisable in the role and who I grew alot of respect for after seeing the film. The film is raw and unpolished in its efforts of adapting a genuinely interesting and important part of contemporary history and culture into a motion picture and is visceral in its attempts at being respectful yet honest.
Definitely worth a watch.
