Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by Rayjay — 23 May 2014
Great performances fuel this movie about a homophobic electrician/rodeo rider who gets aids, forcing him to confront the reality of his situation. He goes to Mexico to get alternate treatments, brings a bunch of drugs and vitamins back from Mexico, starting the Dallas Buyer's Club.
Many of the issues raised in the movie are still relevant today, such as the power of drug companies to control prices and treatment options when you face a life-threatening illness.
