Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by Fordprefect — 09 Mar 2014

Let me just say that Leto and McConaughey are the reason to watch this movie. The plot is so-so but the two main characters are extremely genuine. As good a job as they did however, I never really found myself drawn into the movie on an emotional level at all.

McConaughey's character just wasn't very likable and the big emotional twist towards the end was not very well executed. All in all, this movie is worth seeing if you want to see two actors at their best, but not if you're looking for something truly insightful.
