Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by Jason C — 25 May 2014

McConaughey has had quiet a solid couple of years with Mud and now this movie. . His acting is top notch as he really brings the character to life. Especially in this movie as he's so skinny and withered away you can barely recognize him.

Speaking of recognizable Jared Leto as some cheekbones! There were parts in the movie where I acting thought she was a female (which she plays in the movie). So the acting was top notch. They even had steve zahn, jennifer gardner and denis O'hare (garden state and true blood) thrown in there for good measure.

However, I was a little disappointed with the story. A little too many sex scenes, for me, for a movie based on real events. I was hoping the movie would have more about the dallas buyers club and available treatments and government methods during this period.
