Review of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) by William T — 06 Sep 2014
McGonaghey and Leto's loud performances attempt to disguise the fact that this film should have been released, as was originally planned, twenty years ago. While a competently made film, the way in which the subject matter is dealt with feels out of date and therefore serves little purpose in today's society.
Furthermore, the lacklustre and Hollywood-esque direction leads one to question the near unanimous praise that has been cast its way.
