Review of Daisy (2006) by Dan M — 10 Aug 2007
Is it a romance? Is it a crime drama? It mixes both genres in a way that you would never see in the U.S. Like I've written elsewhere, Korea is the current "it" country for film, and this movie proves it.
It's directed by the guy who did "Infernal Affairs" (on whihc the inferior Matt Damon et al. "The Departed" was based), and stars Jeon Hi-hyun, of My Sassy Girl and other movies.
The movie is well done, and unafraid of going not giving the audience what it wants. A must see.
