Review of Daisy (2006) by Kieran T — 01 Mar 2009
Everyone that has reviewed this negatively seems to be referring to the heavily cut version, while everyone that thinks its awesome has mentioned the 124 minute Directors Cut.
This movie's reputation has been marred by the cut version. Much like Volcano high, the cut version is disastrous and making people miss out on a Classic.
This is 'In Brugge' without the pretentious bullshit and dwarfs. Ok after The Good The Bad and The Weird, and this, im convinced Jung Woo-Sung is an actual Sniper. Fucking Bad ass. Gianna Jun, well lets just say my current most anticipated movie is Blood The Last vampire.
Andrew Lau directs in much the same fashion he did with Infernal Affairs. An entwined style, with flashbacks, flash-forwards, retakes, dual storylines, and great action. The music is superb. Kwak Jae-yong is a master of his trade.
