Review of Daddy's Home (2015) by Ian G — 11 May 2016
The reteaming of Wahlberg and Farrell from the Other Guys with Daddy's Home, circling around the family comedy genre about a competing Dad and Step Dad regarding the affection of their families despite their polar opposite personalities.
As with these films, Daddy's Home was hoping to tap into the counter programming niche during the awards season/Force Awakens 2015 holiday season, and despite a mild chuckle or two pretty much was routine and sticking to the normal shtick for both actors and their screen personas.
Not an Adam Sandler remainder bin release but not the median family film either, just one of those barely there comedies that just doesn't register or provide anything new.
