Review of Daddy's Home (2014) by Facebook U — 18 Jun 2017
It's a dumb and silly comedy, but I chuckled throughout and I laughed out loud surprisingly often. The clichés and moments of misguided narrative are what brought the film down. However, it's marketed as a goofy comedy and it definitely delivers on that promise.
The performances are fine, excluding the children, and it's visually alright. Honestly, the more intense film buffs are probably going to avoid this anyway, and the casual moviegoers aren't going to care about structure or anything.
It's funny and that's really all it needs to be.
