Review of Dad and Dave: On Our Selection (1995) by Brendan N — 14 Nov 2017

I remember watching this on the VHS release all those years ago. The Dvd release should be upscaled to a higher quality to showcase the cinematography that is well filmed. The story is about the aussie battler, a timeless story in our history, the majority of our population can relate to this film.

The film is about family and it wears its heart proudly throughout, the funny moments come from the slow burning plot developments, the film is a lot a few sketches, title cards slot in every once in a while.

I wish our film industry would make more fun and light hearted films like this, not every day we see a film about the families that help build it. There are so many actors that grew into big and talented actors, you can clearly see why.
