Legitimately brilliant. There is so much going on in this movie and its functioning at so many different levels that I'm not surprised (based on some of the user reviews) that alot of people just didn't get it.
The flashbacks in particular seem to confuse people, but without spoiling anything, just bare in mind that Spike Lee is showing the flashbacks not to literally tell a story but to tell the story the characters remember.
This movie is great. Full stop. And Delroy Lindo gives an epic performance. Everyone in this movie is top notch, with the mild exception of the actress playing the French lady. She's...fine.
