Review of Cyrus (2010) by Gavin P — 28 Mar 2011
Good, but not as great as I was hoping, since I like all three of the leads. Jonah Hill's good as the weird mumma's boy (hah - he was also in Grandma's Boy..!). It's got a strange almost Parks And Recreation-like filming style, but some annoying sections where they purposely don't line up the audio with the visuals, even though it's only a few seconds ahead - like crappy narration.
A few funny bits, but not enough laughs - or drama - to be a good indie 'dramedy'. Strange sidenote - this was produced by Tony and Ridley Scott - definitely not what they're known for...
